Our vision as Alternative Prosperity Holdings is to see societies and the environment prosper. In pursuing this commitment, Alternative Prosperity Holdings subscribes to the highest standards of corporate governance as per the King IV Report on Corporate GovernanceTM. The Alternative Prosperity Holdings Board of directors consists of four executive directors and three non-executive directors. We report on business performance using a balanced scorecard approach with transformation as one of our key measurement metrics alongside financial and societal impact metrics.

Responsible for Strategy and Investments for the Alternative Prosperity Group. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the transformation field complemented by his studies recognised through professional registration as a Chartered Financial Analyst and CA(SA). An auditor by profession, Christiaan specialised in company valuations at PwC. He was involved as one of the founding directors and technical head of ABVA, engaging with the DTIC on interpretative matters pertaining to B-BBEE. As one of the founders of the Alternative Prosperity Group, Christiaan has fulfilled the role of CEO since its formation.

Erosha Govender leads the Diversifi and Six Capitals teams. She is responsible for ensuring effective execution of the business strategy through the client-facing teams; development of bespoke Transformation, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategies for large listed clients with a sound knowledge of B-BBEE and related legislation.
She has held various positions within the BHP Billiton Group, including as Transformation Manager of the Manganese division where she was responsible for accelerating B-BBEE and Transformation, external stakeholder engagement and internal and external communications.
Erosha has extensive experience in the mining, metals and manufacturing sectors, which includes process optimisation, project management, community development and socio-economic transformation within the South African context.

Role Description
Chris is responsible for developing and bringing to market innovative and impactful solutions for transformation and sustainable development that aligns with the core values of the Alternative Prosperity group. He further heads up the marketing and sales of the group.
He is a qualified attorney (Stellenbosch University) with over 25 years of experience in the commercial legal and transformation sectors. He is an accomplished author and have co-authored two publications on B-BBEE, The Black Economic Scorecard Manual (JUTA) and Empowermentor (Lexis Nexis). He also acted as primary drafter of several pieces of legislation such as the Amended Financial Services, Forestry, Construction and Tourism Sector Codes.
In 2010 he founded AQRate Verification Services which were rated the nr 1 BEE Verification Agency by Top 500 Companies survey from 2013 till 2019 when he sold the business and started QubeBSolutions – a business that was subsequently acquired by the Alternative Prosperity Group.
He has held multiple board positions throughout his career and, amongst others, served as ABVA’s (Association of BEE Verification Agency’s) technical director and chairman from 2008 – 2012. In this capacity, he pioneered the development of the ABVA Best Practice Notes. Chris also served on the Joint Technical Committee of the Department of Trade and Industry, representing the verification industry with respect to interpretive matters up and until 2012.
